Pastor: Ken Mandley
Ken was born and raised in southern Wisconsin by godly parents who introduced him to Jesus Christ at an early age. Ken attended Bible College in the St Louis Missouri area, graduating in 1973. He then worked in a local church in Knoxville, TN as Director of Youth and Music and with a UT campus ministry. He returned to Wisconsin to pursue further secular education, graduating from Milton College with a BA in Psychology. After marrying Connie in 1976, they moved to Columbia, MO for graduate school at the University of Missouri where he earned an M.Ed in Counseling. He entered active duty as an Air Force officer where he served for twenty years in a variety of positions and locations including over seven years in Europe, retiring in 1997. Throughout this time Ken and Connie were very active in local churches wherever they lived, serving as a Board member, Sunday School teacher, Church Treasurer, worship leader, home group leader or wherever else they were needed. After leaving the Air Force he operated a management consulting practice, worked part-time as a state licensed mental health counselor at a Christian Counseling Center, and pursued M. Div studies with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling. Ken transitioned to full-time Christian work in 2000 as Associate Pastor of First Family Church in Albuquerque and then moved to Turtle Lake in September 2004 to plant Grace Community Church. He says that his years in the military and business world help him understand that God calls every Christian to "ministry". He and Connie have two sons, Nathan, married to Sharon and their 3 year old daughter Norah, in Corpus Christi, TX, and Andy, an active duty US Coast Guard officer, married to Tracie and their 2 year old daughter, Adaline, and new baby boy, Elias, in New Orleans, LA.
