God's power
changes lives. Corporately as a church, we obey His Great Commission
by reaching out with God's love to others. Anywhere in the world,
the faithfulness of one individual can make a difference. While
we can't all go everywhere, we have a vision of spreading the
good news that encompasses the whole world. We provide financial
support to carry the good news of Jesus Christ, and will engage
in short-term projects around the world as God allows. We have many opportunities for you to get involved. From construction trips to spending time at the Senior Center in Turtle Lake.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew
28:19-20
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come
upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and
in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts
1:8
Community Outreach:
Connections (Every 1rst Tuesday)
Connecting individuals from Grace Community Church with senior adults from our community and surrounding areas. The first Tuesday of each month will be our time to get together for a wide variety of programs: some to learn, some to challenge to service, and some just to be together for the fun of it! Come yourself and bring someone with you to each meeting. Then, step back and watch how God will allow us to grow in love and concern for each other. Check for posters for more details on what's coming up. (mission statement | cover page)
For more information contact Sandy Torgerson (715) 268-9226.
There are many community outreach opportunities available. Many of these are discussed each Sunday at our services. It is our desire to be relevant to the community and surrounding area by showing them the love that God has for each one of them.
Regional Mission Trips:
Gaastra MI, April 12, 2008
A group from GCC will be making a trek up to Mission Bible Training Center in Gaastra Michigan. We'll be bringing up food from the food drive, and we'll be having a cookout / concert (513FREE) for the "brothers & sisters".
Rushford MN, February 18-23, 2008
Mission trip to Rushford Minnesota for the repair to a house
damaged by the 2007 flooding. We had a great turnout from GCC and were welcomed by the family in Rushford. It was a great opportunity to see God work through the talents He's given us.
For information on more construction trips, contact Matt Strenke (715)641-0610.
